This is the article that got shut down because the manager wanted to write it for himself. Its not like he didnt copy some of my sentences either...

A new year, a new beginning, a new name; My Hero is getting ready to change the way they run things. What is the recipe for a successful band? My Hero can certainly show you how its done. Gather people with similar music tastes, lyrics that anyone can relate to, and last of all, a woman who can melt your soul with her voice alone her beauty is just an added bonus.

Every band had to start somewhere; they were not originally called My Hero. They were formerly called Non P. They are comprised of four members; Tai, CC, Kay-Style, and Taylr.

The group has released one album with eight tracks. Perhaps one of the most familiar songs on their album would be the first song, Break It Down. The bass riff throughout the song echoes into my memory as I tried to remember what song I heard this from. The sample was the rock song from The White Stripes, Seven Army Nation, converted into their very own style. Another one of their songs One of Those Days, has the familiar sounds of Earth, Wind and Fires September.
Rap, Urban, Pop can only be some of the genre this group has in its music. The album however great it is, leaves me wanting more. Their lyrics and beats could make anyone get up out of their seats and dance. My Heros catchy chorus can make anyone easily forget that their singing their hearts out in their car.
I
was able to get an interview with the group during KUCIs event. We were able to exchange a few words before they had to go on stage. Everydays a struggle, says Tai. Everyone has been thankful for where they are at now; they have been hustling. In their struggle, of eight years the group bonded even if theyve only been together for a while or just starting out as Taylr, the newest member of the group who snuck in while the group was holding auditions and beat out the competition.

Where did their music come from? Its all internal; making music is the love, says CC. When asked what they would like to say to everyone whether they are a fan or a future fan, Spread the word. CC left off with, If you give everything you have, you get to sleep at night.

Keep an eye out for these groups, as they will be sure to headline events in the future. For now, find them at www.non-p.com . Their second album is scheduled to be released later this year.
