This my first blog of the year. The holidays were cool.
I waited too long to buy a xmas tree. So, I found the one from last year in the back yard, which now only consists of the trunk of the tree and branches a few inches long. I put that tree in the base, brought it in the house and said Merry Christmas (much to my children's horror). We then put lights on the "tree," hung ornaments and had a super cool, recycled tree. It's perfect for small spaces, e.g., a studio apartment, so I need to figure out how to make my fortune on these trees!! lol This will be one of the only trees that will ever stand out in my memories, which totally rocks.
We rented a bunch of scary movies (based on suggestions from the "Horror Film" group) and had a couple of movie marathons. The movie "Jesus Christ Vampire Slayer" was just a bit too campy for me, although it had it's moments!!
New Year's eve I hung out with friends and we set off a butt load of fireworks at midnight. Luckily it's very wet where I live, so we didn't have to worry about starting any fires!!
I've read a lot of blogs concerning the holiday's and all in all it sounds like most members had a wide variety of experiences and fun.
Talk to you all soon.
