from jeffrey rowland's new comic, overcompensating:



lovely week. involved shooting a gorgeous b/w set for fenchurch, finishing my pilot (whoohoo!), and just now running around the lawn at midnight in 15 degree cold with my leigh girls.

this is how i look nowadays:



i am pretending to smoke a cigarette with my breath in the cold air but there's no breath and i just look retarded.

it snowed for the first time the other day, for around five minutes.

have been working in the darkroom alot and thinking about the erotic elements of photo developing. how it's so wet cause there are all the different liquids involved and how you have to be so gentle with your negatives to not scratch them up... i started a piece about that, part of something longer about the beauty of the technical elements of photography. is there anything lovelier than the hush of film advancing on the roll, the parts of the machine working inside the machine?

Hahaha I can't tell if you're mocking me, because I actually don't consider that very good...whatever...

Anyway yeah I really need to get around to making them fix it, especially now that I know that's the pic they'll use on people's favorites lists puke

That glitch was awesome! There is an empty whole in my life now that it's gone, like the empty holes in your favorites list.

Your description of film (do you only shoot film or do you also do digital?) reminds me of my almost phyiscal lust for the crackle of a crowquill on rough white paper. Computers be damned.
