En Route to SDCC (on a flight to LA)
When I was a kid during take off Id pretend that the force and power of the jet would pull my skin back and push me into the back of the seat. It came from watching lots and lots of Ren & Stimpy, the one where they get space dementia (cleverly titled Space Dementia)... Not this time though, the take off was smooth and there was a Zen moment, where at one point the plane made it above the Sun and watched it rise two miles above the ground. It also helps that my flight attendant is freaking gorgeous and really nice.
Im oh, so very stoked for the San Diego Comic Con this year. Well, I am every year, but this year I dive in with no stress or worries. Its like when someone goes to Mecca and they make sure all is right with their neighbors, well, thats where Im at. Its a nice feeling.
Im probably freaking out the squares, I keep lifting my laptop up to the window and taking a photo... I cant help it, the sky is amazing right now. Or maybe its my unusually chipper mood. Getting out of town always seems to fuel my creative juices. SLC is suffocating, maybe its the altitude.
Im en route to LA, the only thing on my mind is Fred 62 and possibly checking out the world famous Pinks. When I travel I dont really give a shit about the tourist sites, I just want good food.
More later...
