so i have to choose what i'm going to work on for the next 4 years, and I have to do it by the end of this weekend.
As a procrastinator, i have no equal. Or, maybe I've just had more good opportunities than any other of my kind. Regardless, i have to choose an advisor.
My top two choices are polar opposites...maybe that's why i'm having such a hard time. One is a young, brash, egotistical, brilliant, smooth operator. If i worked in his lab, I could do almost anything I could think of, but I wouldn't have much help or guidance. My first impression of him was that he was kind of an asshole.
The other is an older professor, very famous for his past work, and has had a lot of things going on just recently. He's really nice, seems to know almost everything. I can really get along with him, but my ideas are a little outside of his interests.
