Up way too late last night at the Martini Grill. The dark red walls and leopard print curtains definitely add to the atmosphere. Vodka is king with me, never a hangover. Up too early today with a hot air balloon's burner hissing about 50 feet above my roof and about 60 feet above my head as I am lying here in bed. I can even here the occupants of the balloon talking in the basket. On a weekly basis now, one or two balloons travel directly above my casa struggling to get over the rise to the mesa. There is always some debate on if it will succeed. I remember several years ago the excitement I felt seeing the Albuquerque International Balloon Festival for the first time. I was absolutely in awe and over-the-top amazed seeing the thousands of differnet shapes and colors. Now, the balloons pass overhead routinely and with hardly causing a stir. The dogs rarely bark at them anymore either. I need a new thrill...
