still playing with this (below). haven't changed much apart from order of lines and "throng-masked scent", which i realised was completely daft and had to be removed. throng-masked indeed. ha.

She has
doe eyes
greasy hair
some cleavage
no particular style
a friend who got her the job
a cigarette addiction
an evasive glance
non-bearing hips
a nervous gait
bad posture
a bicycle
I havent heard her voice
I havent heard her voice
and this second piece is an example of what happens when you read Ezra Pound and Mexico City Blues concurrently. i don't think it's very good at all, but it does make me laugh.
FRUIT
Oh lord
No lord
The unbidden fruit pandemic
is the ground beneath
my feet, and I stumble
I want to break the skin
with tooth and limb
on every ingnue I find
and whats more
I want my name in LIGHTS
you understand?
    [Laughter]
These words are feathers
soft as bluff; we both know
Ill go on
            assaild
                        dLiassa
Oh lord
No lord
This crop, weve come
too far
p.s. if anyone can find the origin and/or meaning of the name Liassa, i'll be most grateful. the line basically means "goddamn women", but it'd be nice if the name iyself had an apt reference.
I donno...I think "throng masked scent" is a kick ass line. I wouldn't discard it so quickly.
(You know, I've never been too clear on the definition of "daft". Maybe it's too close to my own truth sometimes, you know, touches a nerve in me, or something )
I can see the "Mexico City Blues" trip here! At least you didn't say something like "Poxy Bucolic Pig ticks"
Now that's daft! (?)
I like Pound, but he's hard to read without a serious set of encyclopedias at you side!
Warm day in Georgia. Down right hot. Unseasonably so. We're all just waking up at 2.00 pm, smoking cigs and drinking coffee. We're enlightened bums!
How's things down your way?
("Goddamn women"...hmmmm....)
