Assuming the Delaware Humane Association approves me, I will be taking home one, hopefully two, s on Thursday! I went there on Sunday with two of the kids from work. We were just going to play with the animals, but since I was there I asked for information about adopting a . Then I looked around. I was playing with a black and white kitten when I looked across the room and an adorable orange tabby waved at me and said, "Hrly, over here! I'm your kitty! Take me home with you!"
Obviously, I had to go over there and play with it. It was too damn cute and how can you ignore a talking ? I fell in love with the little guy instantly. The woman who was helping me said the feeling was obviously mutual. The kitten had wrapped his front paws around my arm and was nuzzling his head against me.
"You know you want to take me home with you."
The orange kitten's brother, a brown and black tabby, was in the cage watching all of this and while I was holding his brother, he put his head down on his front paws and looked up at me sadly with this look that said please don't leave me! Then he stuck his paw through the cage bars and pawed at my arm, no claws, just nudging at me.
"Please take me with you. I don't want to stay here all alone. Besides, look how at cute I am!"
I was smitten with both of them but I could really only afford one. It's $75 to adopt a .
I filled out an application for the orange kitten and went on my way. About two hours later, I decided I had to have both of them. I called the Humane Association and left them a message since they had already closed for the night. Hopefully no one liked him in the two hours before they closed. Then I found out that if I adopt two s, it's actually only $115! It's a really great deal too. They come neutered, microchipped, with free collars, IDs, some food, all the shots they can have at their age, and the next vet visit they get is free if I go to a participating vet. How sweet is that?
I am so excited! I've wanted to have a for so long and now, hopefully, I'm going to have two absolutely adorable kittens in two days!!!
No, the s did not really talk. They just really seemed like they did. I'm only a little insane, thank you.
For a much better story, go read about a possessed blender. DodRaibeid is so freaking funny!!!
