I'm in Dallas visiting my grandfather. It's very hard to see him. Each time I visit, he looks older and weaker. When we got here last night, he just looked so tiny and fragile lying on the bed. His doctors say he doesn't have much time left. His heart is crap. I guess that happens when you're 91 years old. I'm glad I'm here though.
In other crappy medical news, my mom found out yesterday that the osteoporosis medication that she has been taking, that works for 91% of the people who take it, didn't work for her. She now has very bad osteoporosis of the spine, which according to her doctor means if she falls, she could be paralyzed. I'm not digging this people-around-me-getting-old thing. Eh, what can you do. It's better than the alternative.
