This is totally unfair! I've been "tagged" by koala, but from a different site. I'm not sure that should count. But I'm such a sweet guy, not to mention a complete push-over when it comes to babes asking me to do anything...so I guess I'll play along.
The Rules
Tagged! This is what you are supposed to do. Cut and paste if you decide to participate in the tagging game.
Each player of this game starts off by giving 6 weird things about themselves. People who get tagged need to write in a blog of their own 6 weird things as well as state the rules clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.
After you do that, leave them each a comment letting them know you tagged them and to read your blog.
1. I have a huge problem with clutter - hundreds of books of which I've probably read only half, hundreds of cds but I think I've listened to all of them, and magazines piled in the bathroom to encourage me to at least flip through them once so I can throw them out. I seriously need to just start tossing things away. Or find a girlfriend and let her do it.
2. Although very well-hidden now, my musical abilities once included being able to play saxophone and bassoon. Now I kinda miss playing, but after a 20-year hiatus I should probably find a soundproof booth before I start trying again.
3. I adore Mahler, Maynard Ferguson, Ute Lemper, Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark and Men Without Hats. Yes, it's an eclectic mix.
4. When I was in high school, we lived in a village of about 1000 people in Michigan's beautiful, wild Upper Peninsula. The nearest movie theater was a drive-in about 25 miles away, and the nearest traffic lights were more like 30 miles away.
5. I've also lived in Munich, Germany. It would have been even more enjoyable if I had had the foresight to study German instead of Spanish at university. But I still really enjoyed it - most of the time.
6. I've been told that my snoring might be powerful enough to demolish rickety buildings.
Now the fun part - I'm tagging Fatality, Salome, Karma, Waikiki, Vortex, and Esthie. And Katya just for fun (because India talked me out of it). I'll keep track of how many of them decide to play along.
Edited to add
Salome is a good sport - but only half as weird as I thought
Katya is a good sport too
and so is Karma
and Esthie.
YAY! Vortex did it too! I'm happy (and surprised)

And now for the usual update. It has been a really good week. Including:
--Tapping party at the local brewpub of a Czech-style pilsner, several espresso martinis, several pints of Guiness, and some Wild Turkey (but not all the same night).
--Watched the qatsi-trilogy on dvd over the weekend (Koyannisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, and Naqoyqatsi).
--Watched a French romantic comedy The Valet at the theater.
--Saw the modern dance troupe MOMIX. Awesome!
--Listened to some of the women of folk-rock at a local club. The opening act was a trio of soloists touring together as Girl Parts (Julie Loyd - who I've known for awhile, Liz Clark and Melineh Kurdian) and they were followed by Christine Havrilla. The Guiness and Wild Turkey were consumed that night.
I'll leave you with a wonderful website I just stumbled upon. It's all about abstinence - and called Iron Hymen. You gotta check it out! Especially the ten things every girl should know about boys and their vile private parts. IronHymen
