BIG Thank you to all the lovely women who were kind enough to wish me a happy (early, on-time, belated) birthday! Combined with the phone calls, emails and text messages from friends and family, it made me feel slightly special for a day. And special thanks to Salome for the hottest photo card.

Free nachos as the local brew pub!
Exhausting cell phone charge talking with old friends (and family).
Treating myself to seafood lasagna and jazz at Zanzibar Blue.
Letting a friend treat me to brunch.
Playing with my new mustache trimmer.
Buying - then returning for exchange - my new travel alarm clock. Why? It kept excellent time, but the alarm was completely silent! The backlight would turn on at the right time, but not a peep. Luckily the flaw was an isolated one, and the next clock actually makes noise when the time is ripe. Success!
Well! I'm glad THAT's OVER for another year.

I know - a question I've been contemplating for ages. You can all help with your replies. And, no math involved this time, I promise.
