Happy New Year everyone!
2020 we are here and we are ready to go hard!
Hey everyone, my name is IslaJayde and welcome to my first blog! Wow, it's hard to believe that another year and another whole ass decade has come and gone, surreal almost. Is it just me or is anyone else just relieved that 2019 is over?! In all honesty, 2019 was one of the best and worst years yet. There were so many huge changes, tragedies, and weird things that happened throughout the year. It was suffocating at times and rejuvenating at others.
I moved away from my hometown and started over in a new city, I applied for SuicideGirls, I experienced astronomical losses, I traveled to Arizona and got in front of the camera for the first time, I met really amazing people, I lost people that I thought I would have with me forever, I fell a lot, but I also did things and succeeded in them when I never thought that I could and I think that says a lot.
In 2020 I hope for nothing but growth and the ability to face the unexpected with nothing but grace. 2020 is for having genuine friends, being appreciated and appreciating those around us, covering our bodies in incredible art, using our bodies to create beautiful things, seeing and experiencing more of the world, healing, acknowledging and readjusting our own toxic behaviors, reconditioning our reactions to the people and things around us, hustling, making money, and taking care of ourselves. I know that there are plenty of things I can't even dream of right now that are going to happen and I can't wait for that!
