So, my dad bought a new .22 rifle. It's superfun to shoot. It's a pump action long rifle. I really don't like the idea of automatic and semi-automatic assault rifles and pistols on our streets available to buy and for people to order. It's just not right to have such dangerous things available to anyone.
But sport pistols, and hunting rifles and whatnot. Those are fun, those are legitimate. I don't want to ban guns, because that would just be silly. Anyway, we took pot shots at this 5-gallon drum that he has nailed to a post at the bottom of his property. It makes this awesome 'tink-tink' noise when you hit it. And the hills around it echoes the crack of the gun a good 3 or four times. I got kind of nervous after three loads, as I was wondering what the neighbors were thinking.
I saw the SR-71 that the Evergreen Aviation Museum. It's a pretty impressive machine. It's a little silly though. The cockpits are incredibly small and the windows are prohibitively small. The rear seat has just two little left and right facing windows, and that's it. Nothing else. It's just a little scary to think that you're going at close to 2,000 mph and not having any sight other than stuff going by on the left and right. I'm assuming the rear seat operates the camera and spy machinery, so he has other things to look at. It's still an amazing piece of aeronautical engineering.
Howard Hughes is a dork, IMO.
Is it bad when you look at your cell phone, and see that you missed a call from a girl and you seem to think the whole world has ended because you missed the call...?

Maybe a horse. Or I could just walk a lot.

Too bad if you banned those types of guns the people you wouldnt want to have them would become the people with the easiest access to them. The poor sap that would actually purchase one legaly would be the one who it would affect. The only solution is tougher penalties for firearm offenders.
