Sooo....
Yesterday was not a day filled with driving to Seattle and partying with stupid Vortex people (I don't have anything in common with those people, and the scene has a worse male to female ratio than a prostate cancer clinic. That's including all the girlfriends and wives). That was probably good. I saved a lot of money, too, I think.
I went out instead that night with some of the SGers. I had dinner beforehand, so when I got to Montage, my only priority was hanging out. Apparently the waitress didn't like that plan. OR she just didn't like anything. She seemed really bitchy about everything. Hence my distaste for that place.
It was fun though. Good laughs despite the poor quality of the venues.
Today was neat. I made plans to go out with a friend in late-morning/afternoon, so I was actually up and doing things pretty quickly. It's amazing, I had a good hang out, and there was still time in the evening. We went to House of Louie, a chinese restaurant downtown. Great food, dim sum is really excellent.
We briefly went to Saturday Market. I didn't really have any motivation to look at anything in great detail, because I had neither money, nor need for these things. I think that once I get an apartment, it'd be good to get a few things from there to be like "Look, my apartment has local charm, and stuff..."
We went to Powell's to use the restroom, but instead got lost in music books (her) and architecture books (me). I think I'm drawn to architecture because I know that it's something that I won't be able to just pick up and do. I'll have to keep learning. There's so much literature and history on it. I want to start drawing buildings and just figuring out if they'll work. I feel like I need a reason to build them though.
After that, we explored Spartacus. It was 'eh' to say the least. I dunno, it had some cool stuff, but I just didn't feel like there was anything I'd want to buy there over somewhere else. They also had a disappointly small selection of menswear.
We came home, passed out on my bed, because it's waaaay too hot.
Then the rest of my evening consisted of walking back and forth, aimlessly watching TV, trying to get the internet to work.
Question of the Day
(with due gratitude to MissMyla)
Give me a reason to build a building. Like, who's living there, how many people, what are they interested in having in there. Or what kind of company, or what landscape around it. Just give me some sort of constraint.

It was nice meeting you. I hope I'm in the Portland area soon.
