Sooo what's going on?
Monday was spent by doing lots of manual labor. I finally have my car up and running. It's not finished, but it's a damn sight closer now. I think I can 'rely' on it at least for a little while. It's really fun when it actually drives--It's just a fun little car that makes (to steal a phrase from the BMW website) Point B not necessarily the point.
I also helped my mom with the back yard. Spreading barkdust and weeding, and doing all sorts of fun stuff like that. Most of my day was spent outside. It was probably the worst day for doing something like that...On varying accounts, it was between 92F and 97F outside yesterday.
My sister and my cousin and his friend returned from Idaho yesterday. I met them at Montage for dinner. It was interesting. I wasn't totally impressed, but that might've been due in part to it not being late at night. I'm assuming it gets better then. And I was driving, so I didn't want to have a drink harder than Coca-Cola. The foil animals that they wrap the leftovers in are totally awesome. At our table, we had a Snail, a Squirrel, a Bunny, a Cat and a Mouse. It was pretty impressive.
Humm, what else.
I talked to the State Farm people about my accident and what I ought to do. It really turns out that I can't do much worse by going through them. Also, it turns out I'm a 'preferred customer' because of my long history with them and also my mom's loyalty. That basically means lower rates and whatnot, but it also means that they don't look at tickets for calculating rates. Which explains why my car insurance is still cheap, considering my two tickets that show up there.
Overall, a pretty happy time. It's just a lazy Tuesday afternoon. Gonna go mash into Portland pretty soon, resell some books to Powell's Technical, and then go hang out with Venice for the night.

Also, take it from one who just moved away: Boston's not as appealing as it looks. Unless you're going there for school, in which case it's pretty cool.
