Well then. Today is a day where cars officially suck.
I wake up, and not 15 minutes later I get a phone call from the mother who owned the car I was in the accident with. She apparently went to the Chevy dealership and they quoted her $700 for the repair ( ) because it apparently needed a completely new bumper to fix it. I'm not buying it on two levels: the fact that it needs a new bumper, and the fact that it's gonna cost $700. They sent over pictures and there are dents, but they could easily be popped out or filled. This does not warrant a completely new bumper. If it did, I'm wondering what the 'dealership price' is for a new one. I'm going to talk to my insurance agent on Monday and figure out if that's legitimate, and see what I ought to do.
My car is getting there, but it's just annoying to have each thing bring another thing to light. This time another problem was brought about by reusing something old--not my idea, but he didn't order the right part. Oh well.
But yeah, after that phone call, I didn't really feel like doing anything today. She sure did know how to ruin a Saturday.
