Hmm...
I'm looking for jobs now. It's really hard to find a 'physics' job. That's the bottom line of what I'm realizing. I have no 'qualifications' or 'certifications' and some of them I don't even recognize. It's kind of unfortunate. I just don't understand where one is to get the experience necessary to obtain these certifications if all the jobs require some sort of qualificaiton. It's like one big catch-22.
Everything has changed. I'm sitting here at home, alone. I really ought not to be. All my friends from before here have changed; I've changed. Venice is still onboard, but I can't totally mooch off her for all my socialization (oh man, how much of a disaster would that be!). I really just need to get a job going and move out and sort of find my own way. It just feels like summer vacation right now and I'm going back to school in Fall.
It's hard to be looking to move to SE and all the jobs that are cool are in Hillsboro (tech) or NW Portland (architecture, etc). NW Portland wouldn't be too bad, and actually, I wouldn't mind it at all, it's just a matter of finding them. And having them think that I'm actually worthy of being in their presence.
I should get some interview clothes. Some nice charcoal pants and some white shirts--and don't forget the stellar ties. Oh yes. I will not skimp on work clothing.
Much thanks goes out to SG PDX for being cool and receptive.
