It's been a while since my last journal entry, I know.
It's overwhelming thinking about trying to recap all of the events since the last entry.
basically I've been doing the following things...
working;
I've developed a crush on a guy who works at the store adjacent to mine 'the starving musician'. I've been slowly gathering info about him, this is what I know so far,
his name
he's in a band
he plays guitar
drives a minivan
is much too old for me (he;s 31, I'm turning 20 next week)
picks his nose (according to co-worker)
listens to prince, and enjoys dancing to Prince (also according to same co-worker)
he's been working at said store for about 4 months.
on sundays after work I usually go pick up a free meal at the krishna temple. since our stores close at the same time, I asked him if he would like to join me.
he said that he was honored that I'd ask him, but then said he couldnt go b/c of hangover from excessive drinking night before. I asked for raincheck and he said yes.
I don't know if he was lying or not. confused about that. I'm also way too shy and fearful of (another) rejection to ask him out again.
crafts: I do assorted needlecrafts. The past few months I've been embroidering everything I can get a needle through.
Last tuesday I was invited to join a craft for charity circle at a local retirement home, 'Casa Sandoval'. I was told by the woman who invited me that the group would be knitting lap ropes.
I only know how to knit very basic things (think scarves and coasters) but I brought my yarn, needles and also an unfinished project (scarf). The ladies there were super nice. they were so eager to help me finish my project. they got me started on a black and silver laprope (the elderly like the raiders too).
I can't wait to finish it. this group has really got me back into knitting. It feels good to knit for a cause.
I will be better about updating journal.
pinky swear
