Heylo again,
And here's something for ya...I found these sketches in an old sketchbook. They're all of my old co-workers back in St.Louis. So there you have it, some of the artists I drew with at the Six Flags Caricature booth, in our ugly ass uniforms(well, you'll get the idea anyway).
I think there's only one from that group, that still draws caricatures for a living. That fellow, would be the one on the bottom, white shirt and tie. His name is Ed Steckley, and he was a good friend and college bud(also my manager at the booth). He's currently still the manager at a booth in New England somewhere. I was given a chance to move out there as well to draw caricatures, but passed.
The good thing about drawing caricatures is that I could literally go anywhere, and make a living from it. Kind of a comforting thought I suppose.
My girlfriend is sick, which stinks, because I'm the one that made her sick. Gave her the flu by accident ofcourse, and now she's suffering through it, as I did. Only, I recovered fairly fast, and she's not. Kind of sucks really.
So last night, I actually stayed at my own place, and did some graphic art for work (somehow, I get talked into doing artwork for my company, usually stuff I have to do OUTSIDE of work). But I missed my girlfriend way to much
BlueBear3 and his girlfriend were watching 'True Romance' upstairs, with the volume cranked I might add-as I worked away on my computer downstairs. I got done relatively fast though, and managed to cath a documentary on Aileen Muoros(shit I hope I spelled that right)-the woman portrayed in "MONSTER", one of the year's best films.
On that list for me as well is 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind', which was absolutely fucking brilliant. I can't say anything else I saw this year was as good as either one of those two movies. But, I'll probably remember later anyway, and curse at myself for not remembering while I wrote this.
And what a boring fucking journal entry eh? I guess I'm still not used to writing this early in the morning...so I'm out for now...
