Heylo heylo,
Not quite yet 5 am-I got up at 3:30 this morning-mostly because one of my cats would not stop smothering me, and partially, because I knew I knew i had to be up by 7am for Mother's Day.
Last year, I had to travel to Ohio for my job on Mother's Day, and we had to celebrate it a bit early for my mom's sake-more so for my shitty ass schedule, and my stupid ass luck with my job. So I'm actually quite excited to spend the actual Holiday with my mom,
I also had to take the bandages off of this: My New tat(although my webcam stinks) Take a glance:
Though it may appear to be a bit unclear(I do apologize for the quality of the pic),it's another mask-another variation of the other tat on my other arm-a mask I used to have nightmares about when i was a child.
For those of you i haven't told the story to-I had reoccuring nightmares of the same face(a large large African mask) when i was a child. I probably had these dreams on a nightly basis for 3 or 4 years as a very young child. In the dream, I'd be walking up a hill, and this face would come up over the horizon, and block out the sun. I'd see the light through the masks eyes, and almost every time, i'd fall over and just stare at this mask. It's part of the reason i started drawing, I used to draw it over and over again, obsessed with the damn thing.
In college, a lovely women I dated, told me that when you're a child-you dream of former lives, (as we are not yet influenced by the standards of reality, or mass influence), and that the mask was probably a glimpse of one of my former lives. This is one of three lucid reoccuring dreams I had as a child. All of which I remember-but I've been obsessed with masks ever since.
I feel a bit guilty about getting the tat, especially sinc eI'm supposed to be designing one for schoolgirl. I find comfort in knowing I'm almost done with her design though, it took me a while to find a sketch I liked.
Anyway, I'm starting to get tired again, so I'm out-Happy Mother's Day to those mothers out there....

Wow, I just checked out your artwork pics and I love your drawings and sculptures, I think they are so cool! You have no idea who I am, but I just had to say that I find your artwork really cool. Did I say cool twice? Oh well. Awesome stuff.
