"Ticking away, the moments that make up a dull day, fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way - kicking around on a peice on ground in your hometown, searching for someone or something to show you the way..."
Those have to be some of my favorite lyrics to a song, and, the way in which they're delivered kicks some ass to.
I've been singing that song in my head, or out loud if I'm alone, all week. It's starting to get me a bit angry. But occasionally, we all get that one song stuck in our head that we can't get rid of for a while.
And, to boot, work had me draw up large, life-size characters from the Wizard of Oz, which, ofcourse, but that whole soundtrack in my head. Apparently, corporate is having some Wizard of Oz themed team meeting.
I should worry about this a bit-from what I've heard, and now that I've heard it, the underlying theme of the Wizard of Oz is simple. There is no god-plain and simple. I don't consider myself to be religious at all, I just uphold a certain set of morals. But when the corporate office instinctively picks the Wizard for their leadership meeting-it makes me wonder, who are they going to fuck over now? Just curious about it is all, I know my job is relatively safe, being that one of my job tasks is being their art whore on occasion-and they seem to really really like me,
I know I'm not corporate material, so I'm amazed at the response I get at work. Huh...go figure.
