Saw the new Star Wars film today and let's just say I didn't like the film. One of the main reasons that I didn't like it was fact that it felt everything moved to fast. I'm the type of person that likes films that have scenes that build to something. This film didn't have it as it like it was one action scene after another with no build or no breather. There's also no build to the characters as they flat. I also didn't like the addition of General Pryde as that character comes out of nowhere to be a major character in this final installment. If they wanted to include this character they should've had him included in the other two films in this trilogy at least. This film also wastes Rose and General Hux which is a crime. The only good thing was the last thirty minutes but that is not enough to save this film. It was awful and one of the worst films of the year.

@dhyani I'm definitely looking forward to that film since its Nicholas Cage in an film based on a Lovecraft story.

It looks like you’re a true horror aficionado, so I expect you’ll really enjoy it. This film doesn’t pull a single punch. One of the things that Richard Stanley said after the premiere of his film was, “The Mythos can’t be cuddly.” He was referencing the tendency to downplay the sense of cosmic horror in Lovecraft’s work when it is adapted to film and other media. He gave the specific example of a plush Cthulhu which he sheepishly admitted to owning, questioning whether they should even exist. Thanks for following me, and enjoy! 💗🤗
