So... still reading generation-x and god I seriously am crazy about the way Douglas Coupland writes. He really makes me want more from life. I love the way he see's the world. Anyway at one point in the book the group of characters are talking and they are always telling eachother stories... So one of them asks "What one moment for you defines what its like to be alive on this planet?" And purchased experiences don't count! So I got to thinking about mine... And I decided it would have to be christmas day... not presents... Just me and my mam in the kitchen preparing dinner, my nanna in the sitting room watching TV and for that whole day we just like eachother. There doesn't need to be anything else. Its all in the spirit of christmas but I love it. I love how holidays force us to get along. Coz really thats how it should be everyday. But we are too dumb for that. And I'll always remember the smell of christmas... I dunno how but it really does have a smell. Its a mix of heat, oranges and tin foil decorations that have been left in the cupboard all year. I love that smell. So I ask of you all whats your moment? One moment you'd take to heaven or whereever we go, as your moment to remember living, to remember earth???
Hmm... Im looking forward to this! Ash
