Halloween thoughts
I was at the grocery store on Sunday picking up some canned tomatoes and basil for a sauce I was making and many of the employees were dressed up in costumes. I went thru the self checkout and on my way out I passed a girl working there who was bagging groceries. She was dressed in the super short sexy nurse dress and had thigh high stockings on. I couldn't help but laugh..butseriously.I would have dressed up as e coli or something more suitable.
When exactly is the proper time to carve pumpkins? I carved mine last Thursday (I made a skeleton that looks like its stepping out of the pumpkin. It's awesome, trust me!) But when I left for work this morning I noticed his head was starting to cave in because it's rotting already. This makes me sad because I spent a few hours on that sucker and now its going to look all funny when the trick-or-treaters come tonight.
I'm making hot rum and cider tonight. I make it to drink every year while I pass out candy. I love sitting on the front porch on a chilly autumn evening, wrapped in a blanket and getting tipsy off of a nice big mug of hot rum and cider...all while of course passing out candy to all the little brats...

Yeah, I had to stop a few times because of the rain. It was a light rain though. Have fun with the little brats. Hot rum and cider sounds yummy. Recipe?
