1. Last night was one of those wondrous cozy sleepy nights. Too much daytime drinking, caused by celebrating the Bengals being in the playoff of course, led to a tremendously inviting bed. It was one of those nights where you wake up, look at the alarm clock and see thats its only 1:30 am, and smile with relief as you drift off into dream land again. Only that happened probably 4 times last night, and I was actually very happy to have woken up just because I could feel that comfort of going back to sleep. I had so many unusual dreams. In one, I had gotten several new piercings. Two being Monroe like piercings on each side my cheeks, only I had captive rings in instead of the proper kind of jewelry, which made it incredibly hard to speak, and I had the feeling of a distended mouth in the entire dream, and I was ever so uncomfortable. I tried over and over to get the jewelry out, but to no prevail. Then I had some short silly dreams about a high school house party.a hot tub and some kind of afternoon class where we spent most of the time outside forming lines The last dream I recall having was I was in a house and it was in the middle of a sandy white desert. The simple small house and all dcor were whites and creamy neutrals, with natural surfaces made of wood, straws and rattan. It was quite lovely and very surreal. The dream really just consisted of me slowly wandering about the house and admiring the simplicity and natural beauty of it. I remember a single mirror propped against the wall beside a simple wood wardrobea bed with crisp white sheetsa small bathroom with a simple rustic showerit was lovely.
And then
BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEP BEEEEEEEP.
effin alarm.
*sigh*
2. I went out for dinner and drinks at this cozy restaurant I like called Buckhorns. I particularly like that place because the lighting is really dim and the atmosphere is downright cozy. I had some awesome stuffed shrimp (that was breaded and deep fried Yikes!), A quarter slab of ribs, bread, their house salad, and a bottle of wine. Yes, I was a total glutton and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Clearly my eat religiously healthy new years resolution is going well. Ill start next week.(maybe )
3. Saturday I played Dead or Alive 4 on xbox 360 for 5 hours strait, and only beat it once (give me a break though, I also drank 6 beers before I even picked up the controller.). BUT, I'm now officially obsessed with that game, and I'm so girlie in the fact that I love it that there are so many (hawt Japanese) girl characters AND I can choose their outfits...heh..AND unlock new outfits.
4.I've been requested by my family to cook them all an Italian dinner this weekend. I received many cookbooks i wanted for Christmas, but my favorite is Essentials of Classic Italian Cooking by the famous Marcella Hazan. I've learned soo much about Italian cooking already, so i'm excited about putting together a 5 coarse dinner for everyone. I'm even going to find wines to pair with each coarse.
So, now i'm off to make a menu.
