Medlen, 33, suffered severe head injuries when his Funny Car crashed during routine testing last Monday at Gainesville (Fla.) Raceway. He underwent a successful cranjectomy procedure on Tuesday, but his other major organs began to fail shortly thereafter due to the trauma
This hurts my heart. My boyfriend drag races and I could only imagine what it must be like to be in his families shoes. But really if I had to choose what I'd lose him to I'd rather it be racing instead of some disease or fire or whatever. I'd rather his last minute be with what he loved most, and next to me its racing his bike... But fuck... This sucks..
