this is something i wrote more than a year ago, when i first started photographing things in earnest. it's non-fiction, basically a stream of words that i wrote as soon as i got home that day. i love to make photographs.

I have a darkroom at my camp that would make any professional photographer jealous... I haven't gotten it up running this year though. I need to buy chemicals and new paper, and unpack my cameras, which haven't even been shipped yet. I have a pair of Nikon F2 s with a telephoto, a wide angle, and a macro lens. I love the telephoto because it makes for really neat portraits, people have no idea how close up the picture is and therefore don't do all of the typical self conscious things that make for badly posed pictures. Someplace I have all of the stuff I did in high school, some really neat things. I need to dig it up.
