I was all set to write about the really good weekend I had. Hanging out with friends in the hot tub Friday and Saturday night; taking my folks to a nice anniversary dinner; a first date that went well on Sunday; and a good talk with friend yesterday.
That was before this morning happended
The same lady has been doing my hair for well over 10 years. I've never let anyone else touch it. I work in small little community where people easily remember where people work. I met a stylist at the bar a while ago. Seen him a few times before, he recognized me from work. Wanted to do my hair. Said I'd get a good price, and he'd send people my way, if I did the same for him. Networking.
I agreed. That, was my big mistake. My appointment was for two weeks ago. I showed up, and they're closed. I get rescheduled for last week. I show up, and he wants to reschedule me for this week. There's a lot of construction going on. He'll give me 50% off. At this point I don't want to go back. But I want Prix to keep a good rep with this place, so I agreed to a second rechedule.
I'm on time. He calls, and tells me he can't make it, but one of the other girls there can do it. All are very good at hair color. All right. I tell them I want what I have now, only fresh looking. Dark brown hair with purple streaks. I figured that was safe. I won't go into the blow by blow account. But, I wish I had a hat, or a scarf, or somethingto cover my hair.. And I was late to work. And it cost me an exorbant amount of $$ even after the 50% !!
I'm supposed to go back tomorrow after work to have it fixed. If wouldn't have cost much, I 'd just buy a do it your self, and dye it all brown before work. But dammit, this was a costly, and I want it fixed.
I'm never straying from my hair lady again!! I guess this means that I always have to stay within drive distance of the East LA area.
Hopefully I'll have a cheery update tomorrow evening...
