Saturday was my best girl friend's 25th birthday party. Her fiance and I split the cost, but i did all the planning and hosting. It was a toga party, and it was a lot of fun! She had such a good time. Since it was a party for her, there were people at my folks house that I didn't know. But it was ok, because I didn't have to mingle with them all, she did. Oh I made sure the food and drinks were always copious, and that stuff was making it to the trash can, but other than that, I pretty much spent the evening with my every best friend in the whole wide world, who I don't see nearly often enough. I miss him all the time. It was great that he came. Our boss came too. And he stayed late. He was one of the last to leave, long after the birthday girl passed out. Nothing like the guy who signs you're checks hanging out in your parents backyard at 3am, shooting the shit with your drunk friends, while you're walking around in a tank and underoos (because the toga had one too many beer spills on it) cleaning the place up. It was a good time. And the birthday girl had a blast, from what she can remember anyway. Which was the most important part. Things like that really make me want to become a party planner. I love hosting parties. Like a lot. And i feel that i'm pretty good at it. Perhaps one day I'll look into it more.
