Apparently cigarette lighters have been replaced with camera phones at concerts. Yes, I saw U2 last night in San Diego. Opening night by the way. Same stage as the ATYCLB tour. It was amazing. But not quite as amazing as the ATYCLB tour. Though i have to admit, i did come very close to tears when they did One. I'm not ashamed to admit it. One of the the greatest lines in musical history comes from that song. It's very emotional.
My best friend and i spent the night in SD after. Stayed at a Super 8 Motel, with Freddy Kreuger's body double working the front desk. There's a reason why people like him work graveyard. When he said 'You look real purty,' you could practically hear it being followed by 'can I wear you?' Yeah, that kind of creepy. But it made for a good ghost story for us to fall asleep to.
I can hardly wait until Saturday to see them again in Anaheim....
