I'm so STRESSED!!!!!!!!
I HATE myself for being stressed when it could be much much worse.
I'm being such a bitch to my boyfriend.
I don't wanna move out cuz I love my roommates.
I'm nervous about applying to a new school...should I even do it?!!! AAAAAA!!!!

By the way, meds definitely affect people differently. I'm taking Lexapro right now for anxiety/depression, and at first I hate it cuz it made me fucking exhausted all the time. I think you have to wait a bit to really feel the effects... but if Prozac still makes you feel fucked up like that, then I would change meds. I tried Zoloft for a while and it did nothing for me. Sometimes you have to "shop around" for the right meds for your body. Lexapro has definitely done wonders for me.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I've decided to take a break from the meds as of now. I need to build up the courage to deal with 1 or 2 weeks of high anxiety.
I'm really fuckin pissed that neither the psychiatrist nor psychologist told me that I would feel like that!!!! What the fuck?!

You have to do what you feel is right for yourself.....
If you do have more of the panicky/anxiety spells, at least you'll know it's not the drugs. I'm glad that you have only been taking it only a few days, once a psychotropic drug builds up in your system it's really risky to take yourself off them abruptly. (I learned this the hard way)

Ok so I was prescribed Prozac. The doc said it would help with my anxiety.
I took it for the very 1st time last night and I woke up at 3am feeling anxious, nervous, and thinking I was gonna have a big panic attack.

hun, don't worry... most meds for mental health stuff takes about 1 to 2 weeks to kick in and show any real effect!

It may be that by that time anyway, you may have to adjust the dose to get it right for you!

I've been on prozac... for depression rather than anxiety... it didn't work very well for me, so I changed meds... so rest assured that if it doesn't work, there are other things that can help... just give it time!

prozac is a bitch. you're probably going to have to try different milligrams until your system (brain and body) finds an amount that works. the first couple days/weeks can be rough but just keep in touch with your doc.
