It's high time I put some pictures of myself up! Also changed my profile pic. Let me know what you all think of them!

And now for something completely different...

You know that song "Just Like a Pill" by Pink? You know the one..."You're just like a pill, instead of making me better, you keep making me ill."

There's something that really bothers me about it. I just happen to be a really technical person and little details, when incorrect, bother me to no end. In this specific case, I am referring to the line:

"I can't stay on your life support
there's a shortage in the switch..."

DAMN IT, NO! There is no SHORTAGE in the switch, there's a SHORT in it. As in short-circuit. That simple mistake ruins the whole song for me. My brain just can't accept the imagery knowing that the songwriter was ignorant about part of the subject. I can't help it! ARGH!

I know that this bothers the average person not at all, but I used to be an electrician in the Navy and I still have that strict mindset brainwashed into me, and that includes terminology.

But even though the average listener probably doesn't give a crap even if they do know better, don't you think that somewhere in production line SOMEONE would have caught that? I mean, thousands upon thousands of dollars are spent making the song, video, etc. and NOT ONE person in the whole production caught this lyrical error. Can it be possible they didn't know? Or did they just not give a fuck? Or maybe no one could come up with a better rhyme.

The sad part is I otherwise really like the song, and Pink in general for that matter, but I can't get my mind to let it go. Oh well. Pink is hot and that's all that really matters.
