I just got into Gainesville last night. On the bus ride we watched Sister Act 2 and Tomorrow Never Dies. Even though Sister Act 2 is a really corny movie I enjoyed all the musical parts of it. This is because I was in chorus all 4 years of high school and it brought back memories of it.
I'm still a pretty bad singer though. I was even a lead singer in a band during my senior year. Unfortunately we made a 3 song demo and video taped two of our shows, so we have documentation of how bad my voice is haha. But I'm not a complete musical failure though because people on several occasions have told me that I play bass like a black person hehe. I guess we all have our strengths and weaknesses.
So now not only is there not going to be any SGB shows in Florida but they aren't going to be in Atlanta either. The closest they are getting is Charlotte, North Carolina which is a 7 hour drive away. Although that show is on a Friday . But I have two classes at 3:00 and 4:15 on Fridays and I would have to miss both of them. Grrrr

I think Sly and the Family Stone is starting to become one of my favorite bands. I watched part of the Woodstock movie the other day on TV and it showed them playing "I Want to Take You Higher" and it was funktastic. I also saw Jimi Hendrix's infamous Star Spangled banner performance and a bunch of hippies smoking pot and skinny dipping.
Tomorrow is the last day before school starts. Better make the most of it hehe
