Update on Dec 30th:
A week ago I was watching the news with my grandma and a story comes on about how the cops were trying to find a serial arsonist who set fire to 5 different buildings in this one neighborhood in a span of a week. My grandma then says "I bet it was one of those muslims who did it."
She didn't say "muslim terrorist". She didn't say "muslim extremist", just muslim.
Yesterday a magazine salesmen, who so happened to be black, comes to our house and my mom answers the door. The salesmen gives his whole sale pitch and my mom says no thanks and shuts the door. She then says to my brother and me "If a black person ever comes to the door again, don't answer it."
She didn't say door to door salesmen or anything, just black person.
She then says "Last week another one of them came to our house trying to sell me something and he was so rude, just like the one today. Why are they all so rude? They scare me."
Both my grandma and mother go to church twice a week and claim to be devoted christians. Once in a while I'll say to myself "You know maybe I should give christianity another chance, christians don't seem like such bad people after all. Maybe I'm just being close minded and cynical." But then it never fails that a christian comes along and says or does something that completly contradicts their beliefs and reminds me why I'm still agnostic. OF course though most christians aren't like that, but I know way too many of them who are.

Original Dec 29th entry
I finally get a chance to get on SG now, yeah!
I can't wait for New Year's eve when I go up to Orlando for my friend's party. And then on New year's day my friend's band is having a show (see my "Events" for more info hehe). Then on the 2nd we head up to Gainesville just in time for school to start on the 4th.
What did everyone get for Christmas? I got a cookbook (which I'll never open probally haha), some clothes, The Yellow Submarine DVD and by far my favorite gift a Bible story calender. It'll look great on my wall hanging right next to my SG calender mwhaha.
I think someone should inform the Muse lead singer that he is not Thom Yorke haha.
I think my new favorite classic rock song is Thin Lizzy's "The boys are back in town".
Screamo is the new Rap Metal.
My New Year's resolution so far is to
*Not be such a slacker in school
*Find psychology research volunteer work in order to increase my chances to getting accepted into grad school.
*Join more extracurricular club stuff so that I can meet more people
*Find a band already dammit. It's been 3 months and I still haven't found one yet. My old band's first show is Jan 27th and I'm really interested to see how they do.
I'm halfway through Choke right now. So far it's really good but I don't like it as much as Invisible monsters though. The only chance I get to read is christmas and summer break, which a shame.
This has been pretty mundane journal. I'm sure my next entry when I recap my new year's eve adventures will make for a more interesting read tee hee.
Have a nice new year's everyone
