Went to the Museum of Modern Art with Baby Husband yesterday. Its free on Friday evenings, and I love a deal, so off we went.It was really cool. I love modern art. We saw some of Basquiat's work, which I really loved, and Patti Smith had a drawing there as well. I discovered a artist called Francias Bacon, who does a lot of dark oil paintings that were pretty fuckin cool and omg...the modern furniture-SWOON. That one is called baboon or something or other. Husband really liked it, as did I. The photo does nto do it justice. In person it looks like the baboon has been caught in motion as he is turning around and snarling.
There was work of Warhol there too, but nothing with Edie Sedgewick, which I would have liked to see, but oh well.
There is no place to me on the planet better then Manhatten and I was so glad to go there with Keith. We had dinner at Serafina, which was overly expensive and not really my cup of tea.
I am drinking coffee that I made myself-instant coffee, with sugar, non dairy creamer, a splash of half and half and a little sugar. Very diffrent from the 1/2 cup ofhalf and half I am use to pouring in, along with my 20 packets of faux sugar and 1/4 cup of cappicino mix.
And we wonder why our weight is problematic. Making coffee at home will save me money.
I spend $2 a day of coffee at Mobil. 2 x 7 = 14. There are 4-5 weeks in a month. We'll say 4 for arguments sake. 14 x 4 = $56.
Well I will be saving myself that money thank you and also my stog money, which was a $168 a month habit/addiction.
Here is more art from yesterday that was tres cool.
