Well, it's been a week and I still love my husband.
There isn't much to say at this point about my life...it's gotten awful quiet and I love that.
As of tomorrow we start a new phase together. For one, we're quitting smoking. Two, we're dedicating ourselves to a healthier lifestyle overall. He wants to gain 20 lbs and I want to lose 20. This ought to be interesting
In other news...well, there isn't any...so I'll just leave you with this little ditty...
Yesterday we went ahead and spent money we couldn't spare on pinstriping paint and video games (for my playstation ONE, yes ONE...). Paint to satisfy my addiction...and get my side business rolling. Video games so that I can bond with him in regards to his 'gaming' addiction. We had trecked all over tarnation finding me the exact colors and supplies I wanted. When we finally reached home I made a big dinner of Navajo beans (named thusly after the Navajo roommate who taught me how to make them) and we were relaxing on the couch watching a movie when I heard something outside...
He asked me what was up, as I cocked my head to the side and said, "It sounds like it's POURING outside!"
He immediately got up and confirmed that I was right, as he peered through the blinds. I jumped up and threw open the front door to get myself an up close and personal look.
When I turned back to my husband he had a sly look on his face and asked me, "Do you want to go run outside?!" To which I immediately answered, "Yes!" I started to step outside when I realized that I was wearing my favorite hot weather jammie pants and didn't want to get them wet...so I stepped back inside and went to my little clothing cubby. When he asked what I was doing I exclaimed, "I'm changing my PANTS!" Which made us both laugh...I guess he'd assumed that I would back out of running in the rain simply because I was wearing the wrong pants!
So...off we ran into the pouring rain. Splashing along in the water streaming down the steps and out into the open air of the back yard where we shared a kiss.
"I DEFINITELY made the right choice!" I said. When he asked what I meant I explained, "Who ELSE would know, just by the look on my face that I'd wanted to go run in the rain? And then, actually come out and do it with me?!"
We stayed out there, playing in the rain for a while before returning to the safety of our apartment, drenched, happy, and refreshed.
