Well ladies and gentlemen...in true hardworking redneck fashion Moldy and I DID get that motorhome on the road.
We arrived at the lake bed of El Mirage sometime around 5pm or so...only after discovering that apparently I get sea sick in land yachts, but not on the actually SEA.
We couldn't find our friends out there in the dark...and after a brief crisis where I discovered Moldy has no sense of direction (in his defense...the lake bed is vast and it's empty...in the day it can be confusing, at night I'd go so far as to say it's dangerous...) we set up camp for the night.
The next morning...after revving up on our pressed coffee...we found our friends and the fun began.
Somehow I was roped into modeling in front of some of these cars...so...you may or may not see my ugly mug on the cover of a certain magazine in the coming months. All I can say about that is...fuck, if I'd known it was supposed to be a cover shot, I would have gone to get my lipgloss...oh well...
Later in the afternoon some more friends showed up...and I got to have some REAL fun...
That's Terry's 1940 truck...remember? The one I welded the fenders for?
And yes, you can hear me say I nearly tipped it over...true, true..I nearly did...HEY! I WARNED him...
And finally...the gang...
That's Moldy on your right...and my beautiful friend Rachel on your left...
Currently, we're busy restocking the motorhome for another excursion deeper into the desert.
This weekend we're heading out to take a metal working class. Hopefully the class will be as awesome as I think it will be!
