It's been a long, hectic two weeks...fighting against the clock to get as much body work completed on the DeSoto to make her paint worthy...spending my evenings behind my sewing machine to create a Halloween costume...and two days worth of baking frantically for our Saturday party...
And finally...here it is...
What started out looking like this...
Then this...
Became this...
(yes, i'm standing on a block so i can reach the hood...)
NOT that shooting the primer went off without a hitch...in fact it was more of a fiasco than anything...but here she is, in her first coat...
And what was once just a good ten yards of flat velvet fabric and gold chord became this...
The kids sure dug on my home made candy eyeballs!
Then Sunday it was off to a car show...Where I got to see some of my work FINALLY on the road...
What once was nothing more than a couple of random fenders for me to weld and repair for my friend Terry...
Returned home to their rightful place on this here '40 Ford farm truck...
Here I am enjoying the trucks sturdy fenders to lean on...with Terry(in the cowboy hat) hiding a beer up my sleeve...
A couple of Irish Car Bombs later...
And it was back outside...here I got the chance to resurrect my sign language and chat with some deaf guys who'd shown up to the show...
All in all it was a pretty good finale for all the work I've been doing...
And today I'm taking a very welcomed day OFF...2:30 PM and still in my jammies eating left overs from the party...
The next two days will most likely be spent in relaxation and meditation...in preparation for Halloween...also known as Samhain, for those of you in the know. The highest of high holidays for us heathens...
I'll be meditating on the past year...and preparing for the next one...
I'm hoping to have some kind of breakthrough and closure...all at the same time...
I'll keep you posted...

DOH!! I hate when that happens! It seems to ONLY happen when I write a real big update.
