here's the completed frame jig. a frame jig is something that's pretty much square and level so that all of the measurements i make are all relative to the same point of reference. the ground is lumpy and inconsistent, a frame jig is flat, square, level, and consistent.
this is what the front of the frame of my truck will look like. the pieces are temporarily 'tacked' in place so i can mock everything up.
i like the look of bent rails, but i don't have a bender. so what i did was make more angles to make it seem like a curve. this is where the frame curves down under the cab.
