Wow.
To say that I've been busy is an understatement. I started a new job three weeks ago and started three classes two weeks ago. My financial aid hasn't come in yet, so I spent a majority of those first two weeks trying to find the money to pay for my classes and books. I was able to take out a loan from my uncle for my classes, but I'm buying my books one at a time from my own pocket. The stress of a 40+ hour work week and a 9 credit work isn't much compared to the fact that I'll have to do three weeks of studying and work in a weekend just to catch up.
On top of that is the fact that my sister is refusing to go to school again and my brother didn't get the loan that he needs to pay off his classes and room and board off with. My mother and I are scraping together every cent we can to help him out, but even with that he's still got to work a ton to try and make ends meet. As tough as my situation is, my brother's is much worse. I moved back home and restarted school as a freshman, he's still in Chicago, paying rent and living with a roommate and is going into his Junior year. I do not envy him, I'll tell you that much. With a bit of luck I'll get the massive school loan that I applied for and I'll be able to give him that for school.
In addition to my real job and school, I'm working with a few friends on reviving a production company. We shot our first show last weekend. It wasn't anything big, just a small gig that my cousin's band did, practically did it for free. I shot the entire thing on my SLR. Just under 500 pictures that I've got to edit by Saturday that I haven't even touched. After that I've got to start buckling down and writing for a web comic that my friend and I finally got greenlit for. We were able to get a guest spot on a small comedy site. Just one comic a week to supplement their material, but if it's popular we'll get more strips.
I also entered into a contest at work. The person to lose the most weight in six months wins $3000.00. Three. Thousand. Dollars. Yeah, that's something that I've got to win.
I apologize for not really keeping up with you all, I promise that I'll make some time in the coming weeks to read blogs and comment and make jokes and such.
Tonight though? Tonight I read A Confederacy of Dunces. Finally.

Hang in there! I worked full time almost the whole way through both a bachelor's and a master's degree. Believe me, I know how rough it is, how tiring it is, and how easy it is to get discouraged. Take it from someone who has been there and came out the other side - you *can* do it! And once it's over, it really will have been worth it.
