I need to figure out a way to meet like-minded people. The only problem with that is that I'm anti-social and a homebody. That makes things difficult on both ends.
Either way, I can't spend the rest of my time in this new city with no one but my brother, my roommate and their friends. I get along with them great and am really close with my brother, but he's got his own life.
So, does anyone have any suggestions? When (if) you moved to a new city, how did you meet new people? How long did it take for you to find people that you actually enjoyed spending time with? I know that school is a great way, but I won't be able to start until the summer semester and I'd hate to go the next 4 1/2 months without a single friend. Any suggestions?
Oh, I don't really go to clubs, I'm cool with bars, but I'm not a big club person. The only time I'll have fun at a club is with a bunch of people that I know.

i know when i moved to milwaukee, i met people off this site as a way to make friends and then through school. good luck.
well, if you're ever in wisconsin, let me know, that way we can both get out of the house and not be anti-social. i might be in chicago in the near future to visit a friend.
