DAILY HOLDEN-O-METER: Holden. . .had a pretty productive day today. He read and outlined key topics in his geography book for his upcoming first exam on Saturday--only four more chapters to go, one each day.
Holden also walked his four-mile exercise walk today. The weather was warm and sunny, about 75 degrees, and NPR "All Things Considered" was good as always.
Holden then took a brief nap, because he only slept eight hours today instead of his normal ten hours. He woke up just in time to catch a little Monday Night Football.
Holden also picked up some more volleyball matches through e-mail. He found out that he may still be able to officiate some third and forth-grade basketball games on Saturdays despite his classes this fall and being on-call for volleyball shortly thereafter.
Holden also made an appointment to see his primary care physician through the University of Michigan Health System. He'll get to refill his meds and address a few other issues on October 6th at 2:30pm.
Holden must call the town clerk tomorrow to request a ballot application to vote absentee in November. He also should e-mail his sister about the Internet and the satellite TV and visit his P.O. Box, because Holden is expecting some mail and packages. He is on call for volleyball officiating tomorrow.
Thanks to all who asked about free Gmail. Holden was able to expend all of his free invitations. He's sure more will magically appear in his inbox later.

my father moved through dooms of love
by e.e. cummings
my father moved through dooms of love
through sames of am through haves of give,
singing each morning out of each night
my father moved through depths of height
this motionless forgetful where
turned at his glance to shining here;
that if(so timid air is firm)
under his eyes would stir and squirm
newly as from unburied which
floats the first who,his april touch
drove sleeping selves to swarm their fates
woke dreamers to their ghostly roots
and should some why completely weep
my father's fingers brought her sleep:
vainly no smallest voice might cry
for he could feel the mountains grow.
Lifting the valleys of the sea
my father moved through griefs of joy;
praising a forehead called the moon
singing desire into begin
joy was his song and joy so pure
a heart of star by him could steer
and pure so now and now so yes
the wrists of twilight would rejoice
keen as midsummer's keen beyond
conceiving mind of sun will stand,
so strictly(over utmost him
so hugely) stood my father's dream
his flesh was flesh his blood was blood:
no hungry man but wished him food;
no cripple wouldn't creep one mile
uphill to only see him smile.
Scorning the Pomp of must and shall
my father moved through dooms of feel;
his anger was as right as rain
his pity was as green as grain
septembering arms of year extend
yes humbly wealth to foe and friend
than he to foolish and to wise
offered immeasurable is
proudly and(by octobering flame
beckoned)as earth will downward climb,
so naked for immortal work
his shoulders marched against the dark
his sorrow was as true as bread:
no liar looked him in the head;
if every friend became his foe
he'd laugh and build a world with snow.
My father moved through theys of we,
singing each new leaf out of each tree
(and every child was sure that spring
danced when she heard my father sing)
then let men kill which cannot share,
let blood and flesh be mud and mire,
scheming imagine,passion willed,
freedom a drug that's bought and sold
giving to steal and cruel kind,
a heart to fear,to doubt a mind,
to differ a disease of same,
conform the pinnacle of am
though dull were all we taste as bright,
bitter all utterly things sweet,
maggoty minus and dumb death
all we inherit,all bequeath
and nothing quite so least as truth
--i say though hate were why men breathe--
because my Father lived his soul
love is the whole and more than all

thanks!.
SO I used to work as a sales agent for Liberty Mutual Insurance. We were phone jockeys so we had little teams we were grouped in to. Well we had a habit of sending emails back and forth usually started by the supervisor and we would either pick up on it or ridicule it or each other through it. I of course was much more fond of sending ridicule.... Well we had a girl who was a new member on her team and her name was Amber and by god she was a gogetter. She took the job seriously and her Insurance Sales counselor role way too seriously. In meetings she would spiral in to horrible speeches that she found to be motivating. Well she started getting better at handling the job and sending emails at the same time and all of a sudden I had competition getting them out first. Except hers were always in third person. It was hysterical here is an example: Sup-"So what do you think of the new team competition gang?" Amber- "Amber thinks this is great and Amber thinks that with Mike's help the Amber Mike Team will crush all." I am not kidding that was how all of her email was it was competitve and in third person. SO we had to name the team and I unofficially but very publicly dubbed us the "WWE Fans". When I had to explain why I had bucked the name I sent this messag: "Mike finds it very insulting that you would even stoop so low as to question Mike's judgement. Obviously the WWE Fans Will crush all as the Amber has stated. If you need reasons look how we talk in third person. Can you smell what the Mike is cooking"Amber responded-"Amber had not noticed she wrote in third person. I don't like the name though Mike." I responded: "The Mike says it doesn't matter what Amber likes! Know your role, Jabroni!" And that was when we became the team of "WWE Fans" and I had to work real hard to make sure I continued to write in third person which meant I had to pay attention before I hit send. I think I should try to do it again because I find the word "I" kind of annoying know that you point out the egotistical thing.
Anyways cats.... Mike still thinks they are biding time until they decide they can safely take over the world and then all cat owners will have their throats ripped out. Irrational, maybe but at least the fears are known. A cat was in the house for a while and it assumed it should keep its claws sharp on mike's clothes
Damn that is hard! Forget it...
