DAILY HOLDEN-O-METER: Holden. . .needs to get more sleep. He switched medications to try to sleep less. . .and he succeeded in getting only six hours of sleep the past two nights. Holden operates best on ten hours of sleep, but if he takes 15mg of Mirtazapine, he'll sleep 12-16 hrs. a day, which certainly won't work for college. He'll try to halve the tablet tonight (even though it is the lowest therapeutic dose) to see whether that works. Moral of the story: Insomnia really sucks.

Yo soy ardiente, yo soy morena,
yo soy el smbolo de la pasin,
de ansia de goces mi alma est llena.
A m me buscas?
No es a ti, no.
Mi frente es plida, mis trenzas de oro:
puedo brindarte dichas sin fin,
yo de ternura guardo un tesoro.
A m me llamas?
No, no es a ti.
Yo soy un sueo, un imposible,
vano fantasma de niebla y luz;
soy incorprea, soy intangible:
no puedo amarte.
Oh ven, ven t!

Rhyme XI

I am burning, I am brunette,
I am the symbol of passion,
My soul is full of anxious yearning.
Do you seek me?
No, not you.
My face is fair; by braids, of gold:
I can give you endless riches,
From my tenderness I guard a treasure.
Are you calling me?
No, not you.
I am a dream, an impossibility,
vain ghost of fog and light;
I am incorporal, I am intangible:
I cannot love you.
Oh, come, please come!

I did high school in Plymouth and graduated in 1980. I blew off college and worked in record stores instead, eventually moving to Ann Arbor. When I was in college I worked at Kroger, and then as a student aid at the EPA lab in Ann Arbor.
I did my first three years at WCC, and then my last two at EMU. To have a math minor I needed to take linear Algebra, which looks easy and even kind of fun, but I had too much on my plate to devote the necessary time to that class.
Anyway ... my advice is to take a couple of tech writing classes and desktop publishing classes. If you can write bi-lingual documentation, you'll make a lot of money. The first couple of years you won't make squat -- but once you have something real on your resume you'll start making a lot more money.
