nope, i've never been. i was supposed to go last spring with my boyfriend, but then i broke up with him. what was i thinking? i should waited until after the fabulous vacation. such an amateur. interesting theory about dictatorship. i'll buy it. kinda like a teenager with over-protective parents.

LA: a love/hate relationship for me. i didn't particularly want to move here in the first place. i only came here for grad school. it took awhile for me to get used to certain aspects - namely all the fucking people. i just couldn't believe that there is always traffic - sunday mornings, friday nights at 2am....it never ends. but once i got used to it, i was able to appreciate all the cool things about the city. namely all the entertainment: music, movies, art, etc. and the people are for the most part very cool. i expected to encounter the stereotype: vapid, insipid, materialistic. and there is a little bit of that element, but not much - especially in the circles i hang with.

so how about you? do you dig the anarchy in the UK? like you, i've actually only been to the airports there. i think i need to rectify that very soon.

Sadly, yes there are two, both shit in their own ways. Now I'm you hit the nail on the head, I just see images around me that I want to capture, that's what got me back into photography. It was like my life was a series of snapshots to memory, photography allows me to keep them around a little longer.
