I've been working like crazy. TV Stations are so demanding. But also I played a gig this weekend and it was cool, people were even dancing well...up until we did a cover of "Diane" and then it went a bit quiet!....

Tell me your stories smile

The Pixies where amazing.
I don't think I've been to a gig where the audience were so responsive. Well maybe a Therapy? gig but thats different.

At the end they just put down thier instruments and stood at the front casually waving whilst people just cheered and clapped continuously for like 10 minutes.

There's no image with them, no special moves, no pyrotechnica just fucking...

The Fantomas where strangely awesome but finished early 'cause Emma Bunten was coming on!

Helsinki is a really col town, hundreds of gothic, bohemian, neat bars and places.

Now....back to work.

but Pixies next week..first time for a long time.

I've been working too hard. But managed to see some music this weekend and get thrown out of a strange ball on the top floor of a lush hotel.

Yay for Michael Moore winning at Cannes. I cant wait to see the new film.

Computers fuck you up
they may not mean to mean to but they do
They fill you with the faults they have
and add some extra just for you

Thats how I feel this week after a nightmare trying to fix a PC in Spanish with an Irish Dell representative. Oh well Richard Thompson beckons at the weekend...I have spare tickets! smile

Yeah it would be good if you could make it along to one of the shows biggrin

Sorry to hear about your computer nightmares!
vitriolicunt:
goddamn that comment you left me yesterday was serious sounding; do i not seem alright? do you have a strange psychic ability that i should be afraid of but instead will become fascinated with?

and oh hot shit yeah, computers are fuckers and the downfall of mankind; this is when the kingdom of the opposable thumb'less will begin due to us all spending all our time using n fixing fuckin puters.

sorry, i meant i agree

Just back from Madrid where they were celebrating San Isidiro, a holiday to the Saint of Agriculture but basically its an excuse for dancing in the streets until 6am. There's no way we could do that here.

And on Saturday to a live Salsa bar, there were all ages of people dancing from 16 to 60. Amazing musicians.

So I'm a little tired....a little in...

yes, i am very cool. now if only the rest of the world would recognize what you and i already know. wink

you seem pretty cool, yourself. i'm jealous of your little jaunt to spain. sounds amazing.

i'm a firm believer that not all vices should be conquered. just incorporate the chocolate sauce into sex and indulge.

nope, i've never been. i was supposed to go last spring with my boyfriend, but then i broke up with him. what was i thinking? i should waited until after the fabulous vacation. such an amateur. interesting theory about dictatorship. i'll buy it. kinda like a teenager with over-protective parents.

LA: a love/hate relationship for me. i didn't particularly want to move here in the first place. i only came here for grad school. it took awhile for me to get used to certain aspects - namely all the fucking people. i just couldn't believe that there is always traffic - sunday mornings, friday nights at 2am....it never ends. but once i got used to it, i was able to appreciate all the cool things about the city. namely all the entertainment: music, movies, art, etc. and the people are for the most part very cool. i expected to encounter the stereotype: vapid, insipid, materialistic. and there is a little bit of that element, but not much - especially in the circles i hang with.

so how about you? do you dig the anarchy in the UK? like you, i've actually only been to the airports there. i think i need to rectify that very soon.

UNDERSTAND ME!?

Theres a Therapy? song and the chorus repeats "Understand me!" over and over. I love that song.

I honestly feel sometimes that there is nobody in the world that understands me. Am I alone in this? Does anyone else feel like this?

Even my family have no idea about me. I can tell by the Xmas and birthday presents they get me...they are...

Sadly, yes there are two, both shit in their own ways. Now I'm blush you hit the nail on the head, I just see images around me that I want to capture, that's what got me back into photography. It was like my life was a series of snapshots to memory, photography allows me to keep them around a little longer.
