1 hour drive turned into 3 hour in the snow~! This is long, but this is good.
Yeah, some jack ass decided to speed and crashed last night so they blocked and closed the KOP section of PA202 at 9:30pm. I was driving back from my friend's apartment. It was supposed to be easy: 45 minutes on 202 North would lead to me sleeping comfortably in my bed.
So I had to take a detour. The only problem was the snow shower shit rain, and there was no signs and arrows pointed people to the right direction.
I stopped at the first Wawa to ask for direction. The kid was very helpful. He said, "take 29 North and 23 South, then you can get back on to 202 North again... But it will add 20 minutes to your trip. Here is a short cut... " He started drawing me a map with a list of turns, there was where trouble started.
The short cuts ended 5 minutes later with all snow no road in front of me. So no big deal, I just u-tunred and kept on going on 29 North.
I got to the 29 and 23 intersection. I pulled into a gas station and tried to confirm my direction. Big mistake~! The clerk told me that 29 North connected back to 202 North. She seemed friendly and didn't tell me any short cut. Now I had never been on Rt29 in my life, but I trusted her. Big big big fucking mistake~!
40 minutes on 29 North, I found me driving away from the lights and the road were getting narrower and dirtier. There was NOTHING around me! WTF?
I thought, shit if I waited in Wawa, they would have done cleaning up the accident and I should be home by now. But most importantly, I bet that fucking friendly clerk doesn't even have a car and she takes the bus to work everyday!!
Well, it got better.
After almost crashed into a deer family playing poker in the middle of the road, I stopped at the first gas station in the middle of nowhere. So I walked in and begged the old woman at the front desk to point me a way back to Lansdale.
She did, she waved her finger in the air and said, "63, over the Turnpike, and you turn here, here, and turn."
I was like Huh?! So I went to get a map on one of the selves and asked her again, "Where are we?"
She answered, "At the end of 63", without even looking the map.
I was pissed out of my mind but I asked her (as friendly as I could) again, "Please help me, I'm lost, it's late, I just want to go home."
She looked at me again and said, " just follow 63~! I cannot give you more help than that~!!"
I looked at her and said, "Where is 63? Which direction?" This time I sounded piss. She is the biggest bitch I have ever seen! And me, living in Lansdale for almost 4 years, I know 63 does not go near anywhere 5 miles from it. And where the hell is 63, seriously?!
She got out of the store and pointed at a road and said, "That's 63. It will take you to Lansdale."
Well, at this point I knew I didn't want to stay on 29 North anymore. I could back track 40 minutes back to 202. I asked if she know how far were we from Lansdale, and she said about 40 minutes.
God~! I like to gamble, and for last night, thank God I like to gamble.
There I was, driving on what was supposed to be 63 at 11:20pm in the snow shower. All of a sudden I saw the pet shop that I used to get my fish from. Wow~! I finally understood the old women and what did she mean by "over the Turnpike, and turn here, here, and turn."
27 minutes later, I was at home and couldn't believe what had just happened. I was able (and insane enough) to go to Mapquest and confirmed that 29 North does not fucking connect to 202 North.
I woke up this morning and there are two things I must do today: 1) Go give that ugly fat old woman a big fat kiss. 2) Donkey punch that retard clerk that wasted 80 minutes of my life~!
