I'm a little late on this only because I promised my little sister on another blog site I wouldn't talk about it in my blogs. Luckily she doesn't know about this one, but it's been hard to get the motivation to talk about such a depressing issue.
The bail-out passed.
We all knew it would, but sometimes we have to hold onto hope that the upper hand of the government will do the right thing. What ever happened to We the People for the People? And the day after the bill was passed, Wall Street crashed another 700 points. The next day, it went down another 350 points. We are headed towards economic disaster Friends.
The national debt is at 10.7 trillion dollars! The national debt clock had to change the dollar sign into a one to accommodate for the new large number. This is ridiculous! We went from huge surpluses where the clock had to be shut down during Clinton's administration and now we're reporting EXTREME record-breaking DEBT! The Bush administration is just like a kid who just graduated from high school and moved into his own place. He's going to college and getting all sorts of credit card offers in the mail. Each one he opens and sends back. Credit cards start pouring in and what does the kid do? Maxes them out one at a time. This is not only the mentality of George Bush's administration but falls on the banks as well! If the FED would not have allowed this to happen, we would not be in this sticky situation!
I think we should all prepare. I feel something bad is coming, although I don't quite know what it is yet. They say 2012 will be the end, but I don't think so. I think we are approaching a dark era though. Through all dark eras, rays of light will peek through and eventually destroy the darkness. That darkness is mandatory to bring change. This is the best time ever to meet your neighbors, find out who your true friends are, and protect each other. This is the best time to unite as one on this earth. We must stand strong!
I know who my friends are, do you?
People should stick together. No, I'll take care of myself, you'll take care of yourself... and if you have something I want, I'll kill you for it. THAT IS NOT THE ANSWER! Cherish those around you, your fellow man. When everything is gone and the storm breaks through, what will be left but remnants of your old life, your old job, the people you once knew? All the things you defined yourself with will be gone... and what will be left? Look to your friends for answers. Stick to those who have known you through excessive periods of your life and know YOU for you, not the you you had become. When all these things are gone... all we'll have is each other.
After all, Love is all you need.
As time passes, I hear from friends... If the world starts to end, the shit hits the fan, in 2012, etc. I'm moving to "......." and to each one I'll say: If you move there, let me know a couple months in advance and I will see you there. Canada, Mexico, Portland, San Fran, the list could go on for awhile. And I make the same promise to each: if you really go... let me know a couple months before hand and I'll see you there. The safety of those I care about is more important than anything else... even my own safety.
We have to work together, as a species.
Anarchy is not chaos, just a state of living where we RESPECT each other.
That's all anyone ever wants: Respect.
As each of you read this I want you to think of the last time you respected your fellow man. Whether it be the waitstaff at a restaurant, or another place where you tip somebody. Or maybe it was somebody you helped on the side of the road: a broken down car. Or maybe you bought coffee for someone who looked down in the dumps. If it's been less than a week since you've respected your fellow human: go do it! Go to a restaurant and be the nicest person to the waitstaff, leave a ten dollar tip. Be nice to the delivery driver as he delivers your pizza... ask him/her to come inside, have a beer, and hang out... then give him/her a ten dollar tip. Believe it or not, for delivery drivers customers who are just appreciative are ten times better than those who tip good. If the customer tips good and hangs out for a couple minutes, talks, and is appreciative... that is the most WONDERFUL experience for the driver. If you pass a broken down car, stop, see what the problem is, and try to help the driver. If you see someone walking down the street, stop and offer a ride. If a friend calls you and says their car is going to die the next day and they need to be able to get it fixed but don't know anybody to help them. You drive to whatever town it is that your friend lives in, no matter how early in the morning, no matter how little you've slept, and you help your friend.
It's the least you can do.
So do something nice for your fellow species.
Peace, Love, and Harmony
