"So kids, I'm here today to talk to you about AIDS. Did you know...." that each time you look in the mirror your image never changes and you only grow with it? It's the same for people you've known all your life. You look at pictures when you were young and they were young and wonder if that was really you in that picture. We grow accustomed to changes so easily yet for other matters it's so difficult. All that's left of really anything is simple memories which flutter to the ground as a feather does. What happens when those memories are gone? What happens when you look back at time and wonder where time went or what happened through all those years? I miss the last three years of my life, could I have them back now please? In elementary school this act was called being an "Indian Giver." I wonder how many kids understood the truth in that after considering the history of Western civilization. I wonder how many kids felt bad upon realizing it.
My mind is a ping pong ball that I keep hitting against the wall. No matter what, the damned thing keeps coming back, wonder what would happen if I let go of the paddle. The thought kind of scares me.
Every day I feel my freedom being raped by a big prison guard. Tonight on Coast-to-Coast a guest was talking about threatened terrorist attacks in the United States and Europe. There's a popular thought out there that the Bush Administration may try to do something dramatic in order to elongate their stay in office. According to our laws, the president is granted four years and another term if re-elected, no more. The exception however is if the country is in a time of war and is not able to elect a new administration until the war has ended or comes to a calm point. Bush, you stupid bastard, we're on to you and your puppet masters.
Every day I live to see what the next one brings and it seems this country keeps getting darker and darker. WAMU is going under and is up on the auction block. The dollar's getting weaker, gas prices are about to dramatically increase due to Ike, and the government is acting like a Christmas-frenzied shopper mom.
"How many credit cards can I max out this year?"
From inside a cage: "Mommy!!! Big brother's being mean to me, can I have my freedom back now?"
"Son, how many times have I told you... mommy's busy with her credit cards"
I live to see the day that our government system is replaced and we will all walk as free men. I think I may go looting try to kill as many people as possible. Anybody who knows me should know the sarcasm present in that statement. With true freedom comes true responsibility. I think the Native Americans had it right before we raped them.
Each night I live to make these blogs for an invisible audience that's most likely not there. It's the one-man show for none. I almost feel like a little kid again, but then again, I don't know what being a little kid felt like. Perhaps someday I'll grasp the concept of "inner child." Until then, I have memories... or lack thereof.
Life is beautiful, we all have to remember this.
