As of lately, I've been thinking a lot about freedom and what exactly freedom is. I go on spiels about how anarchy is true freedom and we can never be free unless there is no governing body nor "elite" nor caste system. I still believe this strongly in a sense of the word freedom. But, my contradictory side to this, is that we are still free to make up our minds as to do as we please. This is a natural ability... the freedom to choose. This is a rather large freedom that I believe we often take for granted. I don't believe it's any person's right to severely punish us for exercising our freedom of thought of choice. The government comes in and because I decided to drink until drunkenness in a public place, they through me in jail and slapped a reasonably summed fee for doing so. This is a hypothetical situation, if that did in fact happen I'd also get an M.I.P. ticket. It is NO man's right nor ability to take physical freedom from me because i practiced the freedom we are granted as people and living beings.
What is right and what is wrong? This question plagues my mind and it really just boils down to common ethics. I believe that before doing anything one must ask themselves "Who does this affect besides myself?" If one can think of another creature on this planet their actions will affect negatively that's when one must ask "How does this affect this person?" Then through a deduction process one can come to the knowledge of whether one's action emotionally, mentally, or physically hurt another being. If it will... Don't do it because it takes away that person's freedom. Everybody affects everybody they're around at any given moment but it really boils down to what kind of affect it is. We are good influences and we are bad influences. The beauty of this is that we get to choose what we will be and who we will be around others. I am a passive person generally with a heart set on patience, understanding, caring, and peace. Perhaps you choose to be angry, hateful, and simply spiteful. This is your choice but if you are angry and impatient, that brings everyone around you to such a state.
One cannot let emotion control. Emotion can be deceiving. What we need is an even balance between the mind and the soul (Mind being cognitive though, soul being emotional thought) where both work in unison to optimize your living experience and to allow you not to hurt anybody. We were always told "put yourself in 'so-and-so's shoes' How would you feel?
I'll end this short with a cliffhanger...
Because I'm tired
Because I'm hungry
I'm going to start a musical composition project that will contain 4 CDs:
"Smile"
"Kill"
"Cry"
"Dream"
These CDs will be 8 songs in length and will highlight major emotions through music. I'm going to need a choir, a string symphony, a band (much like high school band style... woodwinds, brass, and percussion), and musicians of all types. If interested in being a part of the project, just send me a message. Thank you, and good night.
