Today I sat down with my boss for a few minutes to chat about how I was doing at work. It seems that I am turning into quite the little fund-raiser. In about two weeks I'm going to stop canvassing for the SPCA, and move over to GPC (Greenpeace Canada) instead. Oh, and they want me to start to become something of a shift leader in the next month or two. (Dollar Raise! Woohoo!) All is proceeding according to plan...
I spent last night oggline the Apple website at the new iPod Nano's and the good old iBook. As cool as the "nano's" are, I still want a full ipod. I don't like them being so compact, and I'd rather have at least 20 gigs of space (not even just for music, but as a portable storage device in general). If I could afford it, I'd spring for the 60gig actually. But of course, I can't afford either at the moment. Unless if I can figure out how to possibly get a loan...
Loans can be evil though, and I'm not going to look into that idea at all until I pay off the existing debts that I have. My wicked raise that I'm supposed to have had a few weeks ago (from 10 to 12/hour, plus two dollars for every hour I've worked at this job at the lower wage so far (retro pay)) hasn't come in yet. I keep thinking my check is going to be way bigger than it is, and it's forced me to rely on small advances so that I can afford groceries and the like. I also got a harsh reminder recently from my old roommate that I still owe him about 250 for a moniter he helped me buy a year ago. Oh, and my credit card is maxed out at the moment as well. I don't need more debt just yet...
If they fix my pay in time for the next cheque (September 21st), then all that retro pay may officially turn it into the single biggest paycheck that I've ever recieved. Of course theres always rent and bills to take care of... but at the rate I'm going, I can see myself being all caught up and rid of all forms of debt completely by the end of November. If all goes well, and my credit allows for a loan, I'll get an ipod and ibook for myself for xmas.
And if my credit sucks, then I'll just have to learn how to save up the good old fashioned way. Shouldn't be too difficult with my wicked job...
My trip to Vancouver is the day after tomorrow. I still don't know near to enough about how it's all going to work, except that my accomodation and ferry are being arranged free of charge. I hopefully get the details tomorrow.
Oh, and as of today, my hair is now red. Or more like a copper/orange sort of color. It's exciting. I'll throw a picture up tomorrow, since my camera refuses to do ANYTHING until I recharge the batteries.
What a sloppy entry. Oh well... out like a trout.

Good job, you little fundraising son-of-a-gun, you!
You should get a lesson in saving up money from Nikonjustice. He's much better at it than I am. I stink at saving.
I love that colour of hair on you. Very handsome!
