So... my trip to Vancouver is approaching rather quickly. I'll find out tomorrow where I'm going to be staying, and that should hopefully help me plan a little bit for the week that I'm actually going to be there.
Today I found someone to take care of my cat for the week I'll be gone. Good thing I thought of that... Sebastian would have been mighty upset with me if I had forgotten. (Haha, I couldn't forget something like that. He's my kitty!)
I'm nervous but excited about the coming trip. I'm going to try to get to Vancouver early enough so that I can be present at the "Save Marc Emery" rally that'll be going on. I have secret plans to try to find and at least say hello to the Assistant Editor of "Cannabis Culture" magazine (Jodie). I used to know her in high school, and even had an unrequited crush on her. I'm over the crush now, but it would be cool to at least say hello. (If she's too popular or busy, I won't bother of course. I'm not trying to be creepy... I'm just hoping to say hello to an old friend.) From what I understand, she's completely different from the girl I used to know...
Other than that rally, my plans for Vancouver are fairly open still. I'll be working at the "Paws for a Cause" charity walk (on Sunday the 11th). I had also hoped to catch "The Bravery" that night as well. I'll be at the Meet n' Greet at Doolins too. With nothing else scheduled yet, I'll have nearly five days to explore Vancouver. Should be well worth it, since I'll be planning to leave Victoria for something bigger someday, and it would be good to see what this option might be like.
I finished the fifth Harry Potter book, and I don't have a copy of Book six yet. Until I acquire it, I'm reading Nineteen Eighty-Four.
And the rest of life is uninteresting. (Could be it's all uninteresting, but these are the most interesting bits anyways...)

I am going to be in NYC in October and I nearly asked if you'd be able to rendevouz... and then I realized (I don't know how I don't know this all the time) that BC is on the Pacific side. Dummy me.
If you would like to set up a book exchange, I think that we could have a lot of fun. I have mountains of books all over this little apartment!
PS: That postcard better be in the mail or I'll never forgive you.
PPS: Yes! Save Marc Emery! Yes! Kitty & Puppy Dog Walk! You are such a good man
